Description:In the early 1990s Zhang Xianghua happened to visit Belgrade, Yugoslavia, where he attended the country’s international writers’ conference. This led to a series of trips back and forth between Yugoslavia and Taiwan focusing on cultural exchange work. During this process Zhang saw with her own eyes the fires of war that followed the disintegration of Eastern Europe and then wrote about these events and people in a far-off land—the disaster, the happiness, and the pain. These poems were organized and in 1966 under the title The Buddha Guanyin of Yugoslavia and a Chinese and Serbian edition were jointly published. Subsequently the Romanian poet Duşan Baiski in 2000 translated the book into Romanian with the title Lacrima (“tears”).

2.九○年代初期，張香華在偶然之間前往南斯拉夫貝爾格勒參加該國國際作家會議，由此引發其展開一連串穿梭於南國與台灣之間的文化交流工作。在這個過程中，她目睹東歐解體後的砲戰烽火，從而寫下遠方土地的動靜與人們的災難、幸福與痛苦。這些詩文經收錄整理，於1996年以《南斯拉夫的觀音》為名，同步出版了中文版與塞爾維亞語版。其後，羅馬尼亞詩人Duşan Baiski則在2000年將其翻譯為羅馬尼亞語，更名《LACRIMA》，意為「淚珠」。
