其他說明:本書為「中華文藝獎金委員會叢書──現代小說選」第3集，作者以寫實手法，敘寫1945年中日戰爭結束之後，國、共內戰期間，主角身陷「鐵幕」所見之慘狀，及逃出「鐵幕」之經過；作者曾以此作獲得「中華文藝獎」。「中華文藝獎」為直屬中國國民黨之「中華文藝獎金委員會」（簡稱「文獎會」），於1950年3月所創設，其宗旨在於徵求「能應用多方面技巧發揚國家民族意識，及蓄有反共抗俄之意義為原則」的各類作品。1956年7月，「文獎會」因黨中央財政支援不足而遭裁撤，「中華文藝獎」同時取消。

Description:This book is Vol. 3 of the Chinese Literature Awards Committee Series—Modern Fiction. In a realistic style, the author describes the horrible situation the hero witnesses after being trapped during the Chinese Civil War behind the “iron curtain” following the end of the Sino-Japanese war in 1945 and of his subsequent escape. The author received a “Chinese Literature Award” for this work. The “Chinese Literature Award” was directly under the KMT’s “Chinese Literature Awards Committee (CLAC) founded in March 1950. The Committee’s aim and purpose was to solicit works “able to utilize multiple techniques to promote a national consciousness and are based on anti-communist, anti-soviet ideological principles.” In 1956 the Committee was dissolved due to insufficient financial support from the Party Center and with it the Chinese Literature Awards were abolished.
