Description:Golden Dewdrop is a semi-autobiographical novel written by Wu Zhuoliu that describes Taiwan society from the Japanese Occupation Period to the immediate postwar period and before and after the February 28 Incident. Originally written in Japanese, the novel was begun in September 1971 and after three years was finished in December 1974. Chapters 1 through 8 were translated into Chinese by Wu Zhuoliu himself between April and October 1973 and the book appeared in Nos. 39 to 45 of Taiwan Literature founded by Wu. The rest of the novel manuscript was placed with the writer Zhong Zhaozheng and according to Wu’s will were not to be published until 10 to 20 years after his death. In 1986 Zhong translated the final six chapters (9 through 14) in Chinese and published them in Taiwan New Culture magazine, which as a result was banned. There are multiple editions of Golden Dewdrop, this copy is a first edition.

其他說明:1.《台灣連翹》為吳濁流以半自傳性質完成的長篇作品，內容敘寫日治時期以至戰後初期、「二二八」發生前後的台灣社會。原作日文，1971年9月起稿，歷經三年多，於1974年12月完成，其中第一章至第八章，曾於1973年4月至1974年10月間，由吳濁流自譯為華文，刊登於吳氏創辦之《台灣文藝》第39至45期，其餘文稿存放小說家鍾肇政處，遺言須於十年、二十年之後才能發表；1986年，鍾氏將最後六章（第九至十四章）譯為華文，刊登於《台灣新文化》雜誌，雜誌因而遭受查禁。《台灣連翹》版本眾多，此為最早版本。
