Introduction：President Chiang had used this sedan chair before. Usually, he went on a trip afoot. Only in a few places, such as Bajie, Fuxing Township; Sanmin; and Mt. Jiaoban he had to ride the sedan chair, because of uneven terrains that a vehicle could not pass over. When he took his trips from Sun Moon Lake to Tsen Pagoda, or from Puli to Lu Shan, he occasionally went for a ride on the sedan chair. The last time he rode the sedan chair was at the age of eighty when he was on his way to Taiwu Mountain.
