Introduction:The picture is protected in a wooden frame and shows Chiang Kai-shek's portrait hung over the Forbidden City. Inscriptions on the back of the image read: "After the victory over Japan in the War of Resistance Against Japan and the government's return to the capital Nanjing, the portrait of Chiang Kai-shek dressed in military uniform was hung over the Forbidden City, Beijing" and the sender's signature "Liu, Juncai, penned by, July 7, 2007."
