Introduction:Occupying the center of this yellowish picture is a lofty tree reaching up to the sky, whose reflection is vaguely visible on the surface of the lake. A bit further away stands an old-fashioned Australian style windmill shrouded in the hazy twilight, which instills a poetic ambience to the scene. The colors of the sky are multi-layered: the upper part has a washed texture similar to the effect that can be created by watercolor brushes. The lower part, on the other hand, is as translucent as light mist. Fusing the sky with the surface of the lake, the photographer deliberately set an S-shaped composition for this picture.
This picture consists of a small number of elements such as the tree, the windmill, and the lake. After Chang Lung-ko applied some post-processing such as hue and shade adjustment, the picture has been turned into an impressionistic photography work. Since he got his first camera, Chang Lung-ko has been diligently polishing photographic techniques and working hard to keep up with the times. Switching from film camera to digital camera and learning how to use digital imaging software, he has always been able to stay current with the latest trends. His ambition to pursue photographic skills and relevant knowledge is fairly evident. However, no matter which kind of camera he uses, his aesthetic standard remains the same: to convey “poetic conceptions” through photography. For example, the tree in this landscape photo is leafless and bleak, with branches extending laterally into a fan shape. Nevertheless, bathing in the sunset, the tree still emanates a sense of vibrancy, overflowing with exuberance and vigor.
