Introduction:Children not afraid of the camera are Lee Ming-tiao’s favorite subject. The naught and lovely posture and unexpected movements of innocent children with sometimes shyness were the most interesting scene in his eyes. Lee Ming-tiao used the Rolleiflex camera because it was not easily noticed by people being photographed and could capture the most natural and lively images.
The main figures in the photo are the two children on the pallet leaning out on the shore. They both lower their heads and pay attention to the things under the pallet. The older one even squats with his hands curving to reach his ankles. One of his feet steps out while he places his knees against the head and looks down. The younger child stands behind and the two figures form a vivid composition of one standing in the front, the other in the back, one positioning at top and the other at the bottom. The posture of the figure is rich and lively, creating innocent temperament of children.
