Introduction：Within the social tapestry of human interactions, what concealed emotions lie beneath the facade of happiness? The characters in the video don eye masks adorned with oversized eyes, appearing joyous and merry. Yet, due to their obscured vision, they often seem lost and clumsy, unable to smoothly engage with others. Liao Chi-Yu's video art is rooted in everyday scenarios and behaviours. She uses performance to underscore the emotional anxiety, and the irrational expectations veiled beneath these ostensibly normal behaviours, revealing the gap between appearances and reality.
