Introduction:Featuring the Naive artist Lee Yung-two (1921–2005), this work captures him in his home studio on Mackay Street in Tamsui. Seated alone by the window, Lee is outlined by soft light that grazes his graying hair. He gazes intensely toward the camera, brush in hand, paused over a work-in-progress titled My Current Home. The light from the window reveals several artworks placed in the background, faintly emerging from the deep shadows. Chang Chao-tang's focus on Lee Yung-two aligns with his engagement in the 1980s television series “Too Beautiful for Words.” On one hand, it reflects the fervor for nativism and the cultural roots movement of the 1970s; on the other, it embodies Chang‘s creative approach that integrates photography with documentary filmmaking.
