Introduction：This work depicts a figure strolling along a shaded pathway. It consists of simple elements, concise layout, different shades of colors and ways in which they complement each other. It is a testament to Lin's artistic style, whose rich layering effects are imbued with a sense of steadfastness and fresh vitality, and whose restrained brushwork and color gradations reflect as well as speak to the unadorned inclusiveness of Taiwan. This painting draws inspiration from Lin's subjective exploration of the essence of the land, life sentiments, and individual emotions found beneath the colors.
