Introduction：This piece is a sound-driven kinetic installation. Various mirror discs, which are angled upwards and connected to sound-controlled circuit boards with motors, act like small creatures with hearing. In silence, these mirror discs rise as if peering out, yet at any surrounding noise, they retract downwards, akin to hiding, and cease all movement. The title "Spring Up" hints at the emergence of life, encapsulating a machine's mimicry of the organic and thus capturing the quintessence of contemporary human's encounter with nature. Furthermore, it subtly provokes contemplation on the connection between mechanical constructs and the essence of life itself. (By Wei Chu-chiun)
