- description:雌雄相異，雄鳥體型較大、腳有距。虹膜紅褐色。嘴-雄鳥牙白色，雌鳥鉛灰色。腳紅色。雄鳥臉裸皮及肉垂鮮紅色，興奮時充血膨大。全身大致暗藍色，前頸、胸、背及翼覆羽羽緣呈鮮艷亮藍色。肩羽紫紅，頭上冠羽及頸背白色。尾羽甚長，中央尾羽白色。雌鳥臉具紅色裸皮，體上暗褐、具黃褐色三角形斑及翼帶。腹面黃褐，胸、腹密佈V形斑。尾羽暗栗紅，中央一對暗褐色、具淡色橫紋。棲息在低至中海拔山區原始林、次生林、竹林底層。一雄多雌，常由一隻雄鳥帶領活動。晨昏或起霧時，會循熟悉路徑活動或在林道邊緣覓食，以嫩芽、嫩葉、種籽、漿果、昆蟲為食。低沉「咯、咯、咯」聲。
