- GDESC:　　本標本為浸液標本，吻肛長8.3公分，尾長17.4公分。
  　　本種為臺灣特有種，全長最大可達31公分，是臺灣產龍蜥屬中體型最大者，體背面黃褐色為底，上下唇部白色；雄性下巴灰色有呈橫向排列的幾列明顯白斑，雌性喉部則較不明顯，雄性頸背部的鬣鱗及體側的亮色縱帶都較雌性明顯。
  　　臺灣全島及離島的蘭嶼、綠島及小琉球皆有記錄，海拔由平地至1500公尺左右的山區都有分布。喜於森林邊緣較空曠地區的樹幹或地面活動，日行性；雄體在遇敵時會有以伏地挺身的動作來威脅、嚇退敵人，以節肢動物及其他小型無脊椎動物為食；卵生，繁殖期以夏天為主，每窩可產卵4～6顆。
