Autumn Along the Tamsui River was completed by this artist at the age of 61. The reddish mountain keeps watch as the rays of the setting sun dissolve in the waters of the river. It is as if a soft song to celebrate the evening is being sung. The buildings arranged closely together are decorated in varying colors by the setting sun, like musical notes, creating a fairytale-like scene. There is layer upon layer in the near, medium and far distances, as well as appropriate depth of field that is smooth without being monotone. In one fell swoop, the scene is filled with emotion.
