In the 1950s, Love River was a babbling stream lined with willow trees. Along with the sunset over Xiziwan, it had become a popular destination. When most people think of "Love River" they think of a small section from the Jianguo Bridge to the Kaohsiung Bridge. There is a park-like setting along the riverbank. In the near distance are the indigo waters of the river. In the middle distance is a bridge connecting both sides of the river. In the distance are tall buildings. This is a depiction of the beautiful scenery of Love River in the past, and a record of Taiwan's early landscapes.
