Pan completed White Bridge, at the age of 22. It is representative of his early works. This towering off-white bridge comprised of giant cut stones has gradually become mottled over years of exposure to the elements. There are marks from the countless times that water has flowed through the cracks in the rocks, leaving behind these memories. This artist nearly filled the canvas with this close-up, depicting in detail the stones and texture of this old bridge. After such a long history it appears silent and peaceful. The azure blue sky, area of green grass and gravel paths extend the line of sight and imagination
