Presbyterian Church was completed by this artist in 2000 at the age of 51. It is a depiction of the dignified and elegant Chung Shan Presbyterian Church on Linsen North Road in Taipei, built in 1937. From a distance, it is possible to distinguish the three levels of its bell tower. Its features include glistening silvery white outer walls and cross on the roof. This is Taiwan's first imitation Gothic-style church to feature a steeple, bell tower and pointed arch doors and windows. The cars parked along the street in the lower left part of the painting further enhance the magnificence of this building.
Thickly smeared paint was used to present the passage of time in the depiction of this old church. The artist purposefully downplayed the urban structures in the background, making it appear as if it the post-World War II reconstruction period.
