In this painting, she purposefully emphasized her brushstrokes to present the beautiful colors and soft textures of the flower petals. The green stems and leaves infuse this painting with a sense of vitality. These loosely planted butterfly orchids create an almost "wild" feel and are bright, beautiful and unrestrained. The artist abandoned any attempt at fine brushstrokes, instead creating an easy and smooth flow and blocks of colors. The flowers seem to almost jump out from the canvas. The two butterfly orchids in the center are the most obvious and brightly colored, revealing the masterful techniques of this artist
