On a summer afternoon, white clouds dot the blue sky. The sun's rays cast shadows along this riverside street, encompassing the old house with stone walls and red tile roof in the lower right corner and the entrance to the stairway. At the end of the stairway is the well-known historical monument, the Tamsui Customs Officers' Residence, nicknamed Little White House, a remnant of this area's history as a commercial port. Tamsui's old brick and tile buildings are proof of its once prosperous era.
