Under a clear blue sky, dense forest occupies the largest area of this scene. The artist especially filled the canvas with sky and forest to set off the reflections in the water and the red bridge that crosses it.
Taichung Park is a good place to get away from the heat of summer. If visitors to the park want to take a break in the red pavilions that lie within the shaded, forested areas, they must first cross this red bridge. Looking at the luxuriant forest, it is almost as if the heat of summer has dissipated.
