Tao Dancer, Indigenous Dancer
With fluid lines, this artist captures the
movements of indigenous dancers of
Hualien and Taitung. With their strong
and powerful limbs, they face the wind as
they perform movements that reflect the
pulse and vitality of nature.
Protector
A chieftain towers above the island. He is
looking out over the unpredictable Pacific
Ocean. He is the protector of the people
and this island.
After curating the opening exhibition of the Taitung Art Museum in 2008, Su continued to spend time in Hualien and Taitung counties visiting indigenous communities. This led to this series of indigenous-themed works.
