In this work, the landscape is the subject. With the applications of elements of Cubism and Fauvism, the observer is visually guided from close up to far away. This is a well-executed work with good flow. Jiufen was built up along mountain slopes. Although the houses are close together, their layered arrangement is not lost. Under a heavy texture is preserved an orderly esthetic.
