Taiwan boasts rich cultural diversity. Under this influence, Hsia's works feature elements of Chinese, Western and Taiwanese techniques. He is expert in creating exquisite portrayals and in color variations. Many of his works are of flowers. This cluster of butterfly orchids is gorgeous and accompanied by plump, ingeniously arranged loquats, elevating the symbolism related to abundance. This embodies the artist's expectation and perception of a comfortable life.
