Outside the Window was completed by this artist in 2003 at the age of 56. Red is the main color used throughout the painting, as if under red light. Looking out from the window, there are several objects placed on the table in front of the window. On the bottle on the left is a faint image of a woman with long hair. The female form became the subject of many of his later works. Behind the houses that are depicted using simple lines is the surface of the ocean. This scene inspires philosophical thought. In addition to passion, this painting reveals a vague dreamscape.
