This painting, Scene From Chengqing Lake, was completed by Chang in 1995 at eh age of 53 using his favorite blue hues. Under different lighting, the blues create varied looks. The area in gold along the shore and the white base of the pagoda in the distance, set off the penetrating rays of light under the trees.
