A plump, ripe papaya is shown filled with seeds. There is also a bunch of round, drop-like grapes. A ripe, juicy tomato sits on the plate. The artist used bold and unrestrained brushstrokes and bright colors to create this still life of fruit, without losing any of its fullness or beauty. A bell-shaped glass and orange are on the left and right side of the white plate, respectively, not stealing the spotlight. These items bring balance to this scene. This is a painting that is easy to appreciate.
