White spray is produced by the waves striking against the rocks in this depiction of the northeastern coast of Taiwan. The rocky coastline of Taiwan is pelted by the waves of the Pacific Ocean, which swell due to the northeastern monsoon winds. This painting presents the lines and characteristics of sedimentary rock, as well as the vastness and magnificence of this seascape.
Lin is from a farming family. His artistic talent was discovered when he was in junior high school. Since childhood, he has had a deep bond with the land. To him, the land is not just a source of food and income, but also the inspiration for his works. He pays attention to forests, mountains, rivers, rocks, the ocean, weather, customs and people, as all are potential subjects. He paints in such a way that each blade of grass and tree that is depicted reveals his style.
