In the reeds along the water's edge, this pair of gray geese is nesting. The snow white eggs symbolize parental love and the joy of new life, and give off a radiance. The arc shape of the light reflected off the water forms a circle which refers to perfection or completion. This is the blessing given by this artist to this goose family. The reeds appear somewhat withered. Fall is often considered a season of bleakness. However, in this corner of the world, the bliss of this goose family brings a sense of tenderness and warmth.
In the lower right corner, the lines of the reeds that droop downward interweave with those on the horizontal plane. The thick growth in the distance forms a clear contrast. The geese, one resting on the ground and one standing, correspond to one another. It is possible to see this artist's effort in terms of spatial arrangement and brushstrokes.
