The community of Shuangdong is located in Caotun Town of Nantou County. This is an agricultural area with not too much wind or rain. There are two harvests per year. Thus, its name Shuangdong. "Shuang" refers to a pair or two and "dong" to annual harvest. The babbling steam that runs through here never dries up. The verdant meadow extends into the distance becoming more and more lush. The buildings with white walls and red tiled roofs are the activity areas of the local residents. The background is taken up by mountains shrouded in cloud and mist. The mountain ridges, meadow and stream are clearly arranged in the use of darker and lighter colors, creating clear extension. Between the sky and the land, there seems to be a lively rhythm.
