　　In this painting, a pair of sparrows is perched on a branch with snowy white flowers, creating a feeling of spring. This traditional Chinese work features exquisite lines and elegant shades. It was produced during this artist's youth, but his techniques were already very mature. The expressions of these birds and the positions of their claws are especially intriguing.
　　The 22-year-old Lin had absorbed traditional Chinese painting techniques and completed a series of classical bird and flower paintings. This work, entitled Heartwarming Scene of Love - Sparrows, does not only invoke the image of spring with its depiction of sparrows and blossoms, but also represents blessings on the occasion of a wedding.
