Flowers and other objects appear before our eyes. The Impressionist backlighting method was used to enhance the warmth, gentleness and tranquility of this scene. In this composition, the flowers in the vase are the subject. The small green fruits in the round bowl play a supporting role. The scattered books and part of the bookcase in the margin are used to set off the transparent nature of the glass vase and the beauty of the rippling water.
