This painting was completed by this artist as the age of 68. If you view this painting up close, you may feel bewildered by the many different color blocks. But, amid this seeming chaos there are pleasant surprises. This is a depiction of a spring day. From the yellow horizon to the distant mountains, flowers and trees, bridge, flowing water and nimble boats, all or places and things that can seen in the real world. But, by depicting them in unique colors, he enables viewers to enter an alternate world.
　　Chan's works have a characteristic style. He makes use of bright and multiple colors to depict the scene before his eyes. This allows viewers to sense his strong and tenacious vitality.
