Taichung Park was completed by Chang at the age of 58. The pavilion in the middle of the lake is the main subject. However, the artist placed it slightly to the right of center, making it the background and creating depth of field. The small rowboats are sure to bring back memories for many Taichung City residents. The reflected images from the bottom of the lake and the shadows on the surface appear as bright colors and produce depth.
