Oil Painting

2014

Length:100 x Width:80 (cm)

This artist's motivation for creating art is to go from observation to thought and then to the unlimited emotions of life. He completed this painting at the age of 50. In a mountain forest in which the morning fog has yet to clear are Taiwan Blue Magpies. Their body is covered in blue feathers and the head is black with red beak. Powerful claws and wings allow them to fly high, inspiring this artist. He depicts these birds perched and in flight, using blue hues. In doing so, he reveals his love of Taiwan's forests and nature. Within the tranquility and harmony of this scene, he conveys the endless rhythm of nature.
Auspicious Dance features features exquisite and overlapping strokes. This almost seems to be a Nihonga painting. The use of exquisite brushstrokes and oil paint is this artist's personal style.
