Huwei Sugar Refinery was completed by this artist at the age of 37. This sugar refinery was originally built in 1907, and was owned and operated by a a Japanese sugar company. Following the end of World War II, it was taken over by a Taiwan sugar industry supervisory committee. In response to market demand, a diversity of sugar products have been developed and this factory continues to operate today. In this work, the garden and trees outside of the factory are depicted, and it has a rural feel. As this beautiful scene unfolds in this atmosphere of sweetness, an innocent smile crosses your face.
In her works, her emphasis is on quality over quantity. She possesses the notion that refined paintings come from working slowly. At the same time, she gives consideration to her dual identity as painter and painter's wife, and has been able to balance these identities exceedingly well. While managing her home, she is able to make use of her talent to find her own sense of happiness.
