Ketagalan Boulevard

Ink Painting

1998

Length:42 x Width:152 (cm)

Using multiple point perspective, the Presidential Building and its surroundings are depicted. Rising up from an area of trees, the Presidential Building appears stately and beautiful. In 1996, the road in front of the Presidential Building was renamed Ketagalan Boulevard, bearing the weight of people's memory and democratic history. This appears as a traditional-style scroll painting. This artist has broken through the conventional method of depicting the Presidential Building to present both his ingenuity and profound meaning.
Chiang's painting techniques are fused with modern water and ink methods. He successfully depicts the cultural landscapes of contemporary urban areas. .
