Wu temple is also referred to as the Daguandi Temple, as it was built during the 17th century to worship the god of war, known as Guandi or Guangong. It was a spiritual center for the worship of this god in Taiwan and the only official state temple of this martial god during the Qing dynasty. The artist made use of eye-catching red and gold to depict the front wall. It as if the loyalty of Guangong and the momentum of many tumbles down from this wall. The dark green rooftops and skies fill observers with awe for the character and courage of this deified military general.
