Having long resided in the mountains, Hsiu frequently draws inspiration from her surroundings. Her works evoke the atmosphere of misty woodlands, allowing viewers to sense the shifting mountain air. Mountain Echo 2020-6b features a winding, hollow form that suggests the undulating contours of mountain landscapes. The piece captures the movement and transformation of natural forces—fog, wind, and air—through space. The surface is covered with reddish ochre slip, with sections painted in sky-blue slip and overlaid with vertically twisted black lines, expressing the ever-flowing vitality that echoes through the mountains.
