Moonlit Reverie depicts a bamboo grove under a frosty moonlit sky, with mist and cold air drifting through the scene. A full moon hangs in the night sky, casting a soft, hazy glow over the swaying bamboo, imbuing the composition with a sense of quiet depth and ethereal beauty. The scene recalls rural Taiwan in the 1950s. Reflecting on the changes of time and the loss of such landscapes, the artist expresses his longing for the beauty of a vanished homeland through this evocative portrayal.
