The Seven Strings Feel the Autumn depicts a mountain range encircling a tranquil lake. At the center of the composition, the lake is rendered in deep black-blue ink, while the rocks scattered across its surface are suggested through unpainted areas. The foreground mountains are defined with bold ink textures and washes, and both the peaks and foothills are accented with mineral pigments to depict winding pines and cypress trees. In the middle and far distance, the mountains are layered with varying shades of ink to create subtle shifts of light and shadow, evoking the crisp clarity of early autumn. The combined use of ink and mineral pigments enriches the composition with depth and contrast. With its balance of complexity and simplicity, the painting reveals a sense of calm amidst liveliness, lending the work a quietly compelling presence.
