Introduction：Postage stamps and souvenir sheets with the theme of "The 50th Anniversary of ROC" were issued on the happy occasion of Double Tenth Day in 1961, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of China. The souvenir sheet (135 mm by 100 mm) came in a NT$0.8 and a NT$5 denominations. The stamps with NT$0.8 denomination were designed with the images of founding father Sun Yat-sen and President Chiang Kai-shek. The theme of stamps with NT$5 denomination has drawings of a map and a flag.
