Introduction:This article has two parts, paintings in horizontal scrolls and in vertical scrolls. Each part has 50 paintings packaged in a Chinese painting chest with brocade binding and the inside overlaid with bright yellow satin, totaling 100 works by Madame Chiang, née Soong May-ling.
Madame Chiang had learned traditional Chinese painting from both Huang Junbi and Lan Yinding, was good at painting of landscape, floral, and birds, and loved drawing orchid and bamboo. According to attendants, Chiang Kai-shek would occasionally stand feasting his eyes or sometimes inscribed words on the painting, while Madame Chiang was brushing.
