Postage Stamps Commemorating Chiang Kai-shek
Size:Length:27.8 x Width:21.4 (cm)
Introduction:When Marco Polo Bridge Incident broke out in July 7, 1937, the entire nation was full of righteous indignation and launched campaigns of resistance against Japan and of national salvation. After going through a bloody war lasted for eight years, Japan surrendered in 1945 and Taiwan was retroceded on October 25 the same year. To embalm the historical facts and propagate the economic and political miracles having been created for 50 years since the retrocession of Taiwan, commemorative stamp sets, which each set included mint stamps (come in one NT$ 5 and one NT$ 19 denominations) and a souvenir sheet, were produced and issued on October 25, 1995.
