Introduction：Chiang Kai-shek, when he was 38 years old (1924), compiled a list of more than 50 frequent readings, including Four Books, Five Classics, Zuo Tradition, Strategies of the Warring States, among extensive 409 types of books and 1,390 books. After the age of 40, he was interested in philosophy books, such as Scholars of Soong and Yuan Dynasties; in political thoughts, such as Three Principles of the People; and in literature, such as Three Hundred Tang Poems; which were books he read carefully over and over again.
He had five bookcases classified and arranged according to Yuan, Heng, Li, Zhen, and Qian categories, which were the books that Chiang Kai-shek read frequently. Bookcase Yuan stores 79 types of books, including Comprehensive Mirror in Aid of Governance, Records of the Grand Historian, Book of Han, etc.
