Introduction:Since Kuomintang (KMT, or Chinese Nationalist Party) held its first National Congress in 1924, KMT would convened National Congress to promote party unity whenever the party encountered major events or crucial moments. Since Chiang Kai-shek, then President of KMT, passed away in 1975, the party was faced with its period of transition to new generation; therefore, the 11th National Congress was convened on November 12, 1976, the birthday anniversary of late President of the party. In order to celebrate the occasion, a souvenir sheet (111 mm by 87 mm) was issued on the opening day of the Congress. The souvenir sheet consists of a NT$2 and a NT$10 denominations. The stamps with NT$2 denomination were designed with the images of a party flag and a national flag. The stamps with NT$10 denomination have the images of founding father Sun Yat-sen and President Chiang Kai-shek.
