Introduction:The writing of the words Annihilate Enemy Troops in Chinese doesn't show a recipient, but does carry Chiang Kai-shek's signature and seal. It was a collection of Ryo Masuda, a son of the owner of Arima Hotel. He gave the work to the National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall for a permanent exhibition.
Chiang Kai-shek produced this handwriting while he visited Arima Onsen near Kobe, Japan, in October 1927, for Usabunosuke Masuda, the owner of Arima Hotel, and later his son Ryo Masuda kept the calligraphy. Mr. Masuda specially offered the calligraphy he has enshrined for 60 years for display in memory of Chiang Kai-shek.
