Description:Edited by the New Poetry Today Society, published by Today Cultural Enterprises Co. The first issue is dated January 1, 1957. 25 pages.
The poetry periodical New Poetry Today was founded in Taipei "to promote new poetry and unite poets from home and abroad." Poet Zuo Shuping, a graduate of Whampoa Military Academy, served as publisher and president; Zhong Lei and Ji Xian were vice presidents; and Shangguan Yu was executive editor. These four were joined by Tan Zihao, Peng Bangzhen, Li Sha, and Fang Si to form an eight-person editing committee. The guiding principles of New Poetry Today were to unite all poets who cherish freedom and truth, to serve as a channel to showcase works of the new poetry of China, and to "promote works and of new poetry and expand this field," striving together against the war literature of the Communists and Soviets. This periodical and the inclinations of the works within it strongly echo the sentiments of the times. Publication halted in November 1957. In all, 11 issues were published.

2.本詩刊創辦於台北市，「為提倡新詩，團結海內外詩人」，由黃埔軍校出身的詩人左曙萍擔任發行人並兼社長，鍾雷、紀弦出任副社長，執行編輯上官予，上述四人與覃子豪、彭邦楨、李莎、方思八人為編輯委員。詩刊之創立宗旨為希冀藉由《今日新詩》之陣線，團結所有愛好自由、真理的詩人，以此作為展示今日中國新詩作品的長廊；並「提倡新詩創作，擴大新詩領域」，共同為反共抗俄之戰鬥文藝而努力。這本強烈呼應時代氣氛與創作走向的刊物，至1957年11月停刊為止，總共發行11期。
