Description:Yeh Bu-yue wrote this detective novel during the final years of World War II. It was later published as a stand-alone book by Taiwan Art Publisher. It begins with a murder happening in broad daylight. The victim is a wealthy but cruel businessman who took three wives. Following a quarrel with his business partner, his body is found lying dead in his office. To throw readers off, Yeh included many possible suspects to create a case in which everyone has a motive as well as the opportunity and means to commit the crime. In the end, the suspect with the most water-tight alibi is ended up being the culprit. Yeh is mainly known for his publications in Japanese despite his Taiwanese heritage. He was a pioneer of the crime and mystery genre in the Japanese language in Taiwan. This book was published in the early post-war era, which is considered a relatively late work by the author.

其他說明:本書屬探偵小說，完成於終戰時期，後由台灣藝術社發行單行本，內容以一件光天畫日之下的謀殺案為起點，死者為一個擁有三個老婆為富不仁的商人，在與生意夥伴大吵一架後被發現陳屍在辦公室中，作者一開始即讓死者樹立許多敵人，創造一個人人有動機、人人有機會的案件，一路佈局，充滿懸疑，最後答案揭曉是一個最具不在場證明者。葉步月擅長以日文發表，是台灣作家以日文創作偵探小說的先驅者，此書雖出版於戰後初期，卻也算是作者較晚期的作品。
