Description:Authors like Chang Shen-chieh and Lai Ming-hung founded the Taiwan Literature and Art Association on May 6, 1934, and released the first issue of Taiwan Bungei in November of the same year. Joined not only by literary heavyweights but also by artists and musicians, the Taiwan Literature and Art Association brought people from all fields of arts and humanities together. For this reason, paintings by Chen Cheng-po, Yen Shui-lung, and Yang San-lang were often featured on the cover. The magazine published literary reviews, novels, plays, poems, essays, scholarly articles, and illustrations, serving as a platform for exchanges between different forms of literature and art, whose task was to advocate anti-colonialism. Taiwan Bungei is the longest-running literary magazine established by Taiwanese citizens under the Japanese rule. It also features publishing works by the largest number of Taiwanese authors.

2.1934年5月6日，張深切、賴明弘等人成立「臺灣文藝聯盟」，機關刊物《臺灣文藝》於同年11月創刊。由於聯盟參與的人員不只是文學家，還有美術、音樂家等，是名副其實的聯盟戰線，故在封面上可見陳澄波、顏水龍、楊佐三郎等畫畫作，內容分為評溣、小說、戲曲、詩、隨筆、學術，亦有畫家插畫作品，驗證了文學與藝術之間熱絡的交流，聯盟結集了各領域與立場，推行了「文藝大眾化」，以此精神與人民一起抵抗殖民，這也是《臺灣文藝》發行的旨趣，是台灣人創辦的文藝雜誌中，維持最久，登場最多作家的刊物。
