Description:By Xiao Sa. Handwritten on 300-character manuscript paper, with the words "Xiao Sa Manuscript Paper" printed on the top of the pages. Undated, two pages.
Xiao Sa was born in 1932 and joined the army at age 16. He started writing when he was 20, composing a wide range of poetry, prose and novels, winning numerous awards. He also served as an editorial writer for a newspaper office and as editor-in-chief of a magazine. When he was director of the Kaohsiung Qingxi New Art Society and the Kaohsiung Institute of Art and Literature, he edited the anthologies Port City Suite and Love River Dreamchasing, which include poems, calligraphy, and paintings. From the introduction Xiao Sa wrote, the reader can see the important events and literary achievements in the writer's life. It is the clearest and quickest way to understand his life.

蕭颯生於1932年，16歲從軍，20歲開始寫作，創作橫跨詩、散文與小說，得獎無數，曾經擔任報社主筆及雜誌主編，出任高雄市青溪學會及文協理事長時，曾主編包含詩、書、畫的《大港都組曲》及《愛河尋夢》詩集。從蕭颯親自撰寫的簡介中，讀者可以看見作家重視的生命轉折以及文學成就，是了解作家生平最清晰而快速的方法。
